Btrieve error 35 (the application encountered a directory error)

An error occurred while changing to the specified directory with SetDirectory call. For Xtrieve, this status code may indicate that the directory portion of the File Location for the associated file from the FILE.DDF is not valid. A 32 bit application may return a status 35 trying to access Btrieve data on a NetWare server with the Btrieve for Windows 95/NT workstation engine. Running both VLM.EXE in AUTOEXEC.BAT and the Microsoft Client for NetWare Networks will cause this error. Removing VLM.EXE from AUTOEXEC.BAT and rebooting the workstation corrects it. Both the 32 bit Btrieve workstation engine and the requesters use 32 bit networking under Windows 95.
